Eco-friendly, sustainable and cheerful – preciously handcrafted. Moroccan culture is reflected in the perfection of the art of weaving and this designer rug is an explosion of colors. These hippie flatweaves were handwoven by Moroccan Berber tribes in the High Atlas Mountains using traditional techniques and recycled materials. Kilim Boucherouite rugs are made by tightly weaving the warp and weft strands of the fabric to create a flat, pile-free surface. These are plain fabrics technically woven with a weft face, i.e. the horizontal weft strands are pulled firmly downwards to hide the vertical warp strands. These kilims are perfect for everyday family life, easy to wash and they will add a lot of character to your decoration with this “wow” effect that is really eye-catching.
